My Toyota FJ Cruiser - 2 month review

I acquired an FJ Cruiser about 2 months ago. I wanted one from the instant they started to appear on the road.
After 2 months and some 400 and 600 mile trips - I have to say - I’m very satisfied.
The 4.0L Six Mechanism is extremely robust and quite fun. The Auto Tranny seems to movement smooth and no issues whatsoever. I’m looking aid to some snow so I can test out the 4WD.
The interior is in actuality cool. It takes a bit to get used to. The windshield is farther away from the front capital passengers. As is the ceiling as it’s ‘taller’ in the lodge than most vehicles.
The two 1/2 doors a first were a bit annoying to get habituated to to. But the levers are easy to open and… I amiable of like them now.
My two kids, Austin and Gwen, fit nicely in the back heart. Good room for everyone. They seem to dig it.
Now - I’m coming from a Chevy Astro Van which has a benevolent amount of cargo. So, the FJ is a step down for sure in terms of shipload. Plenty of ‘general’ cubicle quarters for luggage, groceries, guitars, etc. However - I was spoiled with the Astro.
Brakes are mild and I simply can’t find anything ‘odd’ cropping up yet.
The 3 windshield wipers SUCKS. This - is a ass effort in the ass. In heavy rain - all that ‘energy’ on the windshield is tough to look through. To me, it’s a amusement.
The windows all around are rather small and there is a fairly big unreasoning spot on both sides. Using the side mirrors effectively is a MUST.
I’m at a mileage of no more than under 4K miles. So, this FJ is still cherry.
But - I would be willing to bet it’s growing to continue to be an amazing vehicle. There is a structural rigidity in this carrier that I’ve NEVER experienced before. Literally - destroyed solid.
